Terms of Service

Koguko drops you into a chat with a random stranger. That only works if everyone plays fair. Here is the deal between you and us.

Agreement to these terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are a binding agreement between you and Hane Studio(“we”, “us”), the operator of Koguko (“Koguko”, the “Service”). By accessing or using Koguko you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use Koguko.

You must be 18 or older

Koguko is an adults-only service. By using it you represent and warrant that you are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms. If you are under 18, you must not use Koguko and must leave immediately. We may terminate access if we believe a user is a minor.

What Koguko is

Koguko connects two strangers for a one-to-one text chat without accounts or profiles. Ordinary chats are not intended to be stored after the chat ends, but recent messages and related technical information may be preserved if a chat is reported or serious abuse is detected. Either person can leave at any time, and a new tap pairs you with someone else. The Service is provided free of charge and may change, pause, or shut down at any time.

Acceptable use

You agree that you are solely responsible for how you use Koguko and for everything you send. You must not:

  • Share, request, produce, or solicit any content involving minors, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or sexual content involving minors. This is a zero-tolerance rule and may lead to preservation of evidence, bans, and reports to appropriate authorities where required or appropriate.
  • Harass, threaten, stalk, bully, intimidate, or sexually harass anyone.
  • Post hate speech or content that attacks people based on race, religion, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or similar protected characteristics.
  • Share content that is unlawful, defamatory, obscene where prohibited, or that incites violence or self-harm.
  • Expose unwilling participants to sexual content, or record, screenshot, or redistribute another person’s words or likeness without consent.
  • Share other people’s private or personal information (“doxxing”).
  • Send spam, scams, phishing, malware, or commercial solicitation.
  • Impersonate any person or organisation, or misrepresent your affiliation.
  • Use bots, scrapers, or automated means to access the Service, or attempt to disrupt, overload, reverse-engineer, or circumvent any security or rate limit.
  • Use Koguko in violation of any applicable local, national, or international law.

Your content & your responsibility

Koguko does not pre-screen, monitor, or moderate conversations in real time, and we are not responsible for what other users say or do. Any content you send is yours, and you are fully responsible for it. You interact with strangers entirely at your own risk and should never share sensitive personal, financial, or login information.

Reporting & enforcement

You can report a user at any point during a chat. We take reports seriously and may, at our sole discretion and without notice, block, rate-limit, or permanently ban any user, IP address, or device that we believe violates these Terms or threatens others. Reports and serious safety flags may preserve recent messages, IP-derived identifiers, raw IP addresses, browser information, session identifiers, and moderation notes for review, bans, abuse prevention, and legal requests. We may preserve and disclose information to law enforcement where we believe it is necessary to comply with the law or to protect the safety of users or the public — in particular for any content involving minors.

No warranty

Koguko is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, or that the Service will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free. We do not screen, verify, or vouch for any user you are matched with.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Hane Studio, its team, and its providers will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) Koguko, your interactions with other users, or any content shared through the Service. Because Koguko is provided free of charge, our total aggregate liability to you for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us (which is zero) or the minimum amount required by applicable law. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you.

Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Hane Studio and its team from any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of Koguko, your content, or your violation of these Terms or of any law or the rights of another person.

Intellectual property

The Koguko name, logo, the Kogo mascot, and the look and feel of the Service are owned by Hane Studio and protected by intellectual-property laws. You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our written permission.

Termination

You may stop using Koguko at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time and for any reason, including suspected violations of these Terms. The sections on acceptable use, no warranty, limitation of liability, indemnity, and intellectual property survive termination.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts there, except where mandatory local consumer-protection law grants you rights in your own country of residence.

Changes & severability

We may update these Terms from time to time; the “Last updated” date above will change and continued use means you accept the new Terms. If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in full effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding Koguko.
